Silvia Pelissero is a young Italian artist, born in Rome in 1991, the same year of chinese artist known by the pseudonym Hua Tunan …The Golden Scope spoke about him last week….do you remember?
Silvia has in common with Hua, over the year of birth, some other aspects: she is also known under a pseudonym that is Agnes Cecile and she uses the same technique: the “colors dripping down” for her works.
Roman artist, about the pseudonym, said in an interview:
“When I decided to publish my works on the web, I chose a nickname inspired by the title of a book I read when I was 11 years old. The character was born on the web, when I started to work more with the painting, I decided to publish my works dedicated only to this, it was my third year of high school, I was 15 years old.”
When she was just 20 years old, in October of 2011, this girl with fiery red hair and light skin, had a solo exhibition at MarteLive Rome, obtaining consents and success; everything convinced her to continue to follow the artistic way.
Silvia has also stated:
“I began to experiment different materials, arriving to paint in black and white, I wanted to express what I had in my mind to everyone, through my work. But it was very theoretical, I never imagined to obtain so quickly an exhibition or to sell my works….when I was a child, I dreamed of making films! There was no awareness in all this… I began to realize what it was happening when I heard someone talk about me as an artist.”
