Rewind: world’s strangest sculptures
Written by Valentina Romano
Are you ready to travel the world to view the most incredible and strangest sculptures ever made?
The Golden Scope put together a list of the most unique artworks that have been decorating streets, squares and entire areas.
From a spider randomly standing in front of a museum (TATE Modern – London), to kids jumping in a river (Singapore); below are the most incredible sculptures of our era!
Indeed, I decided to only pick sculptures made no later than in the mid-20th century, so that you could get to know and enjoy only recent artworks. Even thou now those sculptures are not so famous, one day they will all be part of our art history.
Besides, if we were to include all the sculptures from the past, we wouldn’t have had enough space to feature all the weird artworks from the Roman and Greek Empires. Ancient art is usually studied at school anyway – so it’s quite renowned – whereas the sculptures below are barely mentioned in textbooks and people don’t even know of their existence.
So here we go, a private lesson of contemporary art by The Golden Scope! Now you know exactly where these incredible artworks are located, and you can go check them out.
Enjoy the following pictures of the weirdest and most incredible sculptures of our time.
