America’s strangest restaurants

America’s strangest restaurants

Going to eat at a restaurant is quite nice, as you don’t have to cook, wash the dishes and worry about entertaining your dinner companion(s) with music, candles and decorations.

Well, what if we found some places where not only you get to eat good food, but you can be immersed in a strange, unique and wonderful atmosphere. If you are tired of the usual restaurants, then take down the addresses of the places mentioned below and go on a rather different experience!

Instead of sitting on a chair facing your friends or lover, why don’t you get comfortable on a bed and eat under the covers? You can actually do that at B.E.D., a restaurant in Miami.

If you are an adventurous type, you can also book a table at Casa Bonita in Lakewood (Colorado) and have dinner on a cliff surrounded by palm trees and white sandy beaches.

Anyway, instead of spoiling the good details, I will let you take a look at the photos capturing seven of the strangest restaurants in the U.S.A.

Heart Attack Grill, Las Vegas, Nevada

Heart Attack Grill is a hospital-themed restaurant that servers mainly burgers and fries. While there you will be given a medical patient’s robe (so you won’t stain your clothes with sauces), and nurses (girls dressed up as nurses, not real ones!) will serve you. They only accept cash “because you might die before the check clears”—like they say!

The Cave, Richland, Missouri

Hidden inside a cave, The Cave restaurant is built in the heart of a mountain! It is located on Rochester Road, Richland, 65556, Missouri.

Opaque, Santa Monica, California

If you want to experience something different, then Opaque is the perfect restaurant for you! When there, you will dine in total darkness, as the tables are all positioned in a dark room—by “dark” I mean pitch black. Just be careful not to miss your mouth while you’re eating. The restaurant can be found at 2020 Wilshire Boulevard, Santa Monica, 90403, California.

Casa Bonita, Lakewood, Colorado

This Mexican restaurant will make you feel like you’re by the beach somewhere around Cancun and Plaza del Carmen. Indeed, the place is decorated with waterfalls, pools, palm trees and rocky caves, just like in Mexico! Casa Bonita’s address is: JCRS Shopping Center, 6715 W Colfax Ave, Lakewood, Colorado, 80214.

Harvey Washbangers, College Station, Texas

If you are in hurry as you need to eat while washing your clothes, you can head to Harvey Washbangers on 1802 Texas Ave S, College Station, Texas! This restaurant allows you to have your clothes washed while enjoying burger and fries.

Bors Hede Inne, Carnation, Washington

Feeling like travelling back in time and have dinner in the Medieval Ages? You can actually do that at Bors Hede Inne. This restaurant is located in a Medieval Village on 10320 Kelly Rd NE, Carnation, Washington, 98014.

Safe House, Milwaukee, Wisconsin

A safe house is a secret place where spies usually hide. This restaurant is inspired by a C.I.A.’s safe house! You can find this place at 779 N Front St, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53202.
